You are so lucky that you have captured these Kodak moments. I can remember many special moments when I didnt have a camera handy. Great pictures and I see by your posts that you have some really wonderful memories to relive and share.

btw... i still remember some other scenes of that kaadan day ... There was a pic with u full of kari on ur face half inside half outside the jeep in which al kaadans went back from college.... and another one with all of us chasing Venky, with shinoj in his best possible pose as a beggar:)

jofu, after reading ur comment i think i shud have dedicated the whole post to the kaadan fotos!!! maybe we can send u the fotos thru viswan in dec!!!
The school steps [is the assembly still held there?] seem small and puny now. All the buildings seem to have made the look too cluttered.
There was time when the current middle school section was a single story tiled building, the +2 block [is it that] was not there, and there were causarina and rubber forests around the school. This would be around 1984? The middle school building [too dark, and civil engineering-ish with no architecture in it] was inagurated when I was in the 7th standard. I think our ICSE malayalam class was there, and so were the exams.
My 6th standard was in the basement of the main building, 7th to 10th in the top floor.
For a person very bad in Physics, the physics lab was the best room in the whole building.
Ahh.. memories...

vinod cheta, the forests were around till we got to the 5th and in its place there is a huge stadium now...heard a gym and an indoor stadium is also coming up...even we had to study a class in the basement. the new "unattractive" middle school section came up when we got to the 7th...yeah sadly now the emphasis is on functionality rather than aesthetics. also heard the school is shedding its selective nature and increasing the student strength from the earlier 1000 to double that now...i really disapprove of all this but even the jesuits have shown they cant stay untouched by the Church's new found greed for money...wish we old boys had a voice in the schools running!
I and both my brothers studied there. My nephew is a 2nd Gen loyolite now..
